“We are all on a journey to discover life’s meaning and learn how to live with hope and confidence.”
-
Counseling has taught me a lot about the beauty and the fragility of life. It seems that we are all on a journey to discover its meaning and learn how to live with hope and confidence despite the undeniable reality that our world is imperfect.
For me, to counsel is to guide. I feel privileged to serve my clients to help them work with relevant tools and truths, and gain wisdom together, to find practical steps towards a lasting change.
Whether you’re an individual or a couple feeling stuck or lost in your journey, I hope that the help you’ll receive at The Living Counsel will be an oasis experience for you. I look forward to being there for you when you need it the most.

“We can still experience hope and courage to move forward.”
-
I pursued a career in therapy because we all experience difficult times in our life and we are not meant to walk through life alone. Hardship is a part of our human experience, but I believe that we can still experience hope and courage to move forward even in the midst of pain and suffering.
I am passionate about helping couples, families, and individuals break free from unhealthy patterns and nourish deep connections in their relationships. I especially enjoy working with pastor's kids and their families because I am one and I deeply understand the challenges and difficulties that come with it. No matter what story you bring to therapy, I'm here to listen and walk alongside you as you navigate this season of your life.

“Therapy leads to a greater sense of knowing, purpose, hope and freedom.”
-
I believe therapy is an opportunity for deep reflection, leading to a greater sense of knowing, purpose, hope, and freedom. I strive to create a safe, empathetic, and empowering space to discuss life challenges and achieve a shared goal or vision. Using a holistic approach, I value collaborating with clients in addressing the challenges of the body, soul, and spirit.
I have a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages with a variety of mental health issues and relational conflicts. In addition to being a therapist, I work as an Associate Professor and Director of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Wheaton College.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Eunice, and our three children and drinking coffee and playing golf with friends.

“Therapy is a journey where hope returns, strength grows, and joy blossoms.”
-
At its core, life is all about relationships. When our relationships — family, friends, and self — are in harmony, we can open the door to our most authentic and fulfilling lives. Therapy offers a space to recognize patterns, reorganize structures, and reclaim the relationships that matter the most. It is a journey where hope returns, strength grows, and joy blossoms.
I work with individuals, families, and couples to experience newness in their relationships. As the therapist, I get the honor to walk with and bear witness to my client’s process by which courageous, honest work creates a powerful, transformed life.

“Therapy is…a space where evidence-based care meets the rhythm of each person’s story.”
-
To me, therapy is both a science and an art — a space where evidence-based care meets the rhythm of each person’s story. I’m committed to supporting well-being through a culturally responsive approach that honors the complexity and uniqueness of each individual.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions, offering care that is both grounded and compassionate. I feel honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate growth, healing, and change.
My background includes a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s degree in Flute Performance. These two worlds — therapy and music — continue to shape my work in meaningful ways, reminding me that healing is often nonlinear, creative, and deeply personal.
